Our Story

Handcrafted in the Texas Hill Country

Fredericksburg Essentials began with a love of beautiful, useful things and the simple pleasure of making something by hand.

From our family ranch near Fredericksburg, Texas, we create small-batch soaps using thoughtfully chosen oils, butters, essential oils, clays, herbs, and other natural ingredients. Each product is made with attention to how it looks, how it feels, and—perhaps most importantly—how it makes you feel when you use it.

Our soaps are designed to be more than everyday necessities. Fragrant essential oils, rich creamy lather, natural colors and textures, and distinctive packaging turn an ordinary bath or shower into a small ritual worth enjoying.

The Texas Hill Country is never far from what we make. Its wildlife, native plants and trees, seasons, wide blue skies and quiet landscapes inspire our soaps and collections. Travel, art, literature, history, places and memories also inspire our soap designs.

Fredericksburg Essentials is owned and created by Debbie Sultemeier. When she isn't making soap, Debbie is involved with local education, literary, service, church, and cultural organizations.

Everything we make begins on a small scale and with a personal touch—from developing fragrances and pouring soap to designing labels and preparing the finished pieces for shops, gifts and customers.
